What a year it's been-and God has been with us every step of the way, even
though we often did not recognize that. Tonight is our NEW YEAR'S EVE
WORSHIP with Holy Communion at 7:30 p.m. It's a neat time to pause and
"catch your breath" spiritually-speaking before plunging ahead to '04.
(P.S. Roads are fine; everything's melting here.)

I've been getting lots of requests for the free BIBLE READING SCHEDULE I
mentioned last week. It's a simple, flexible tool for guiding your
Scripture reading & can be used in a number of ways. Lemme know if you'd
like one.........

Here's SUNDAY'S READINGS:
*	Jeremiah 3.11-13
*	Jeremiah 2.31-35
*	1 John 1.8-10

And don't forget Sunday Pastor Pete will share the annual "STATE OF THE
CHURCH ADDRESS" between services. We'll be taking time to look ahead to
talk about discerning the Lord's vision for our future at BSLC. No SS for
any ages.

WEDNESDAY CLASSES begin next week, along with supper, Hosanna, & worship
time.  Options include:
*	DIVORCECARE Group begins! For anyone you know experiencing the pain
of separation or divorce.
*	EPHESIANS-Pastor Chuck will be back with us for this!
*	1ST & 2ND SAMUEL-an excellent study of King David & his times
*	MOMS GROUP-encouragement for mothers of all ages
*	WOMEN'S DISCIPLER BIBLE STUDY: AMOS-in depth study
*	REASONS FOR BELIEVING-I'll be looking at common objections to
Christianity & how to respond

MISSIONS SUNDAY will be January 11; kids SS starts that day; displays &
special presentations.

Here's some NEW YEAR'S THOUGHTS to ponder:

*	"It's never too late to be who you might have been." - George Elliot

*	"Resolved: Never to do anything which I should be afraid to do if
it were the last hour of my life." - Jonathan Edwards

*	"Faith makes a Christian. Life proves a Christian. Trial confirms
a Christian. Death crowns a Christian." - anonymous

*	"Therefore...stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give
yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor
in the lord is not in vain." - 1 Corinthians 15.58

Walking more with the Lord in 2004,
Pastor Mark
