"God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all
times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work." - 2
Cor. 9.8
Hello bros and sisters in Christ,
I heard ADULT CHOIR got off to a good start last night in its "new and
improved" time slot, 6:30-8:00 pm, Sundays. There's space for you to lend
your voice to the cause! Vicki Kn is heading it up. "I will sing praise to
my God as long as I live." - Ps 146.2
HOSANNA kids choir is off & running under the able leadership of Enid Ringo,
Wed evenings, too.
SUNDAY's readings are the following. We'll be taking a special look at the
"provocative" words of our Lord from the Gospel of Mark.
+++++Numbers 11.4-6, 10, 31-34
+++++James 4.7-12
+++++Mark 9.38-50
Have you seen the LIBRARY lately? There's lots of new books for your
perusal and borrowing (3 weeks is the recommended length). And Gretchen asks
me to mention that you request "Library Stamps" when you shop at any
Christian Supply store.
I see the LUTHER film is still around. I highly recommend it!
I may not be getting a Pastorgr at m out next week, due to attending to our
daughter Rena's wedding in Clover, Idaho.
Here are some thought-provoking words from E.H. Peterson's book, Travelling
Light:
"The present moment more resembles eternity than any other, because in the
present, the past and the future converge. The refusal or the inability to
fully experience the present, to receive into our lives by faith what is
handed to us by God in the present, is a refusal to live freely. For the
present is the only time in which freedom can be exercised or experienced."
Joy and peace in Jesus,
Pastor Mark
