Hello friends!

I'm back after a quick trip to Wisconsin; it was a joy and blessing to
celebrate and see loved ones.

Sunday's comin'.......... Scripture portions to check out include John
10.24-30 and Acts 9.36-43. Sermon text will be Rev. 7:13-17, which reminds
us of the "great tribulation" in which we find ourselves. As you look at
that text you might ask yourself:
*	If I'm part of the Church Militant, where's the battle?
*	How can I stay focused in this battle?
*	What light is shed on this from chapters 6 and 8?
Holy Communion will be celebrated in both worship services.

And don't forget that Sunday is Yellow Bag Food Drive Sunday. Bring your
bag and place it behind your vehicle. Eyewitness youth will take it from
there. "Now don't your forget!" :-)

The Pregnancy Resource Centers Steps for Life is coming up on May 15th.
Perhaps you might want to help sponsor one of us who will be walking.......
Check out the display in the foyer for ways to help.

Below is something I thought I'd share with you. It's from Dale Meyer's
"Mission Minute":

"This is an intervention. For your own good, check into the clinic. You're
addicted to speed.
Got your attention? I'm not talking about doing drugs. I am talking
about how most of us are hooked on the ever-accelerating pace of life. Do
you have a minute? Grab a quick bite? Check your mail while you're
driving? This speed is killing us.
Today's an anniversary in our ever accelerating rush. On this date, April
29, in 1913 an inventor in Hoboken, New Jersey, named Gideon Sundback
patented the zipper. Before the zipper, you buttoned or tied your
clothes. That was slow. Then came the "separable fastener" as Sundback
called it. That was faster. Now we've got Velcro, faster still.
I'm not suggesting you check into an Amish community, but for your own
good, get your addiction to speed under control. Check yourself into the
clinic of quiet time with God, Bible and prayer. Check in every day, even
several times a day.
"In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your
strength" (Isaiah 30:15). Then the verse adds this about Israel in
Isaiah's day: "But you would have none of it."
Will you? Speed kills. Rest with God recreates."

Don't forget your Yellow Bag this Sunday!
