“May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance.”
2 Thess. 3:5

Wow—last Sunday was truly an OVERWHELMING experience for Ethel and myself!
We can’t begin to adequately express our appreciation of your enormous
outpouring of love, kind words, and generous expressions. What a humbling
privilege to be so honored! I wish I could spend time with each of you
expressing my heartfelt thanks. Because of you I will never be the same.

I have one more Sunday in this corner of the Lord’s vineyard. In the church
year calendar it’s designated as “St. Stephen, First Martyr” Sunday, but
since we’re not meeting on Christmas Day, I’ve decided to use the texts for
that day instead. I’m also “giving the day off” to the worship team & the
tech guy, so we’ll be using The Lutheran Hymnal for liturgy and hymns. Here
are the wonderful texts for the day
.
*	Isaiah 52:7-10
*	Hebrews 1:1-9
*	John 1:1-14

Christmas Eve times, as you know are:  3:30 (children-focused), 5:15 & 7:00.
If you’re interested in taking in a Christmas Day worship, Trinity, Oregon
City is at 10:30 a.m., Calvary (81st & Woodstock) is at 10:30 a.m. and
Christ the Vine, Damascus is at 10:00 a.m. Our New Year’s Eve worship with
Holy Communion will be at 7:30 p.m. (Always a great way to go out with the
old and in with the new.)

Well, here it is, my last Pastorgr at m. But it’s not your last. Pastor Pete
will be continuing it on. I’m amazed the list has grown to well over 300
addresses. I hope you’ve not only enjoyed it, but also benefited from it.
It’s been a labor of love.

I’ve always liked this benediction for the season. I’ve slightly tweaked the
original words. It’s from Wilda English:

“God grant you the light in Christmas, which is faith; the warmth of
Christmas, which is love; the radiance of Christmas, which is purity; the
righteousness of Christmas which is forgiveness; the belief in Christmas,
which is truth; the all of Christmas, which is Christ.”

Yours and His,
Pastor Mark
“Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace at all times and in every
way.
 The Lord be with all of you.”
2 Thess. 3:16
