[Bslc-dist] A special request

Many of you know that this time of year is tough on some families
financially.  Some are out of work, some have been widowed, and others have
just barley been able to make ends meet, and these are people in our own
church family. At Beautiful Savior we have what is called the Elder Need
Fund.  It currently has a negative balance, and there are several who could
use a little help right now.  Unfortunately we have had to tell some that we
can't help.  

Through a matching funds grant from Thrivent Financial we could be able to
replenish this fund, and assist those who have genuine needs. Thrivent
Financial will match what we give up to $1600.00.  This is short notice, but
we have a small window to be able to use the funds from Thrivent.  These
funds have to be accessed before the New Year.  Between Services this Sunday
(12/26) a special offering will be received by the coffee and donuts for the
Elder Need Fund.  This is a low key event, any support will be greatly
appreciated, but don't feel obligated to give.  If you will be out of town
and would like to contribute you can by emailing clark at bslc.com with the
amount you plan to give (I have to turn in the total collected to Thrivent
before 12/31) and then when you return to town put a check in the offering
marking it "Elder Need Fund". Thank you for considering this request!
