"We always thank God for all of you, mentioning you in our prayers. We
continually remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith,
your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord
Jesus Christ." - 1 Thess. 1:2-3

Looking ahead to Sunday, here are the readings for the 2nd of 5 part series
on prayer:
*	2 Sam. 12:7-8
*	Rom. 8:15-17
*	Luke 18:2-8
Spend some time "soaking" in these verses...praying them.
We'll be sharing together in Holy Communion this Sunday.

Sunday classes resume this week. Also, for the last time, a table will set
up to sign the Defense of Marriage Petition. (Over 200 signatures were
gathered last Sunday.)

Sean asked me to pass the following along:
Spiritual Gifts Inventory

So far, we have received 1/3 of the congregation's results. If you have been
unable to take the Spiritual Gifts Inventory yet, you are in luck! You will
have another opportunity to take it between services on Sunday. It only
takes 10 minutes and will certainly assist us in matching your gifts with
opportunities to serve our Good Lord and His people. You can even take the
test on line in no time flat at www.bslc.com <http://www.bslc.com>
Thank-you so much in advance for your willingness to complete this survey.

Follow up from last week:
*	Got a vehicle the Rondemas might borrow any or all of 7/1-8/16? Let
me know.
*	Interested in being part of a team to help settle a Refugee family
in our area? Let me know.

Thanks to Arvin for the terrific job he's (again) doing on the front bank of
the church property!  Looks fantastic.

A Little Something For Your Heart:

"What folly to fear to be entirely God's! It is to fear to be too happy.
It is to fear to love God's will in all things. It is to fear to have too
much courage in the crosses which are inevitable, too much comfort in God's
love, and too much detachment from the passions which make us miserable." -
Francois Fenelon (1651-1715)

Yours in Christ,
Pastor Mark
