Blessed Day-Before-Thanksgiving to you!
If youre coming to THANKSGIVING WORSHIP tonight at 7 pm, youll do well to
take a look at:

Unless otherwise designated, the offerings this evening will be equally
divided between

* BSLC Social Concerns Fund (our on-going ministry to hurting in the
community)
SUNDAY is our fourth time to focus on our congregations vision & goals.
Take a look at:
* Ps. 2:1-8
* Matt. 16:24-28
* Philemon 1-7
CREATE-A-GIFT 2004 quickly approacheth! (Saturday, December 4) Can you
help make it happen? Sign up Sunday.
Looked like the Project Angel Tree ornaments were going quickly. If youd
like to be a part of that, youd better be quick. (Its so neat to see so
many giving of themselves in a selfless way like this!)
On Thanksgiving, I always find myself thinking about this portion of Dr.
Luthers Small Catechism: (Have you ever memorized this?)
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.
What does this mean?
I believe that God has made me and all creatures; that He has given me my
body and soul, eyes, ears, and all my limbs, my reason, and all my senses,
and still preserves them; in addition thereto, clothing and shoes, meat and
drink, house and home, wife and children, fields, cattle, and all my goods;
that He provides me richly and daily with all that I need to support this
body and life, protects me from all danger, and guards me and preserves me
from all evil; and all this out of pure, fatherly, divine goodness and
mercy, without any merit or worthiness in me; for all which I owe it to Him
to thank, praise, serve, and obey Him. This is most certainly true.
Giving thanks is one course from which we never graduate. Valerie Anders
Gratefully yours in Christ,
Pastor Mark
