Hello, BSLC fam!

My hard drive crashed. It's been a painful "rebuilding" time. I hope you
receive this.

SUNDAY is the last week of our series on Money. Take some time to look at:
+ 2 Sam. 24:21-25 (read earlier verses to get the context)
	+ 2 Cor. 9:6-8 (look familiar?)
	+ Mark 14:3-9 (a beautiful sacrifice)

Also Sunday...New Members will be received (be sure to meet & greet them!)
and Harvest Festival will take place (please remember it in prayer, if
you're not helping out on site).

Also Sunday...NEW CLASSES FOR ADULTS begin----
	> Belonging (new membership)
	> Financial Freedom (practical, scriptural financial info)
	> The Christian Family (God's plan for parents, spouses, etc.)
	> See Through the Scriptures (an overview of the Bible continues)

And...don't forget to FALL BACK with the TIME CHANGE!

I'm told that if you do not have your BALLOT mailed by Sunday, you need to
hand deliver it to Voting Site.

The following is for your consideration from Dallas Willard's book,
Renovation of the Heart:

"Self-control is the steady capacity to direct yourself to accomplish what
you have chosen or decided to do and be, even though you "don't feel like
it." Self-control means that you, with steady hand, do what you DON'T want
to do (or what you want NOT to do) when that is needed and do NOT do what
you want to do (what you "feel like" doing") when that is needed. In people
without rock-solid character, feeling is a deadly enemy of self-control and
will always subvert it. The mongoose of a disciplined will under God and
good is the only match for the cobra of feeling." (p. 127)
