Brothers and Sisters,

40 Days - It has been a joy to hear the reports so far from the small
groups. I know that this is a stretch for many but I am excited to see the
sharing and relationships developing. Perhaps the most exciting thing for
me is that this journey is not pastor-centered. I am thrilled to see God's
Spirit moving in up to ten groups a day. I love seeing ministry occur
between the members of our family. Truly our hope is not in great leaders,
a program, or a book, but in coming together with open humble hearts. God
will be there with us. What more do we need?

Prayers - As you continue to pray for the survivors of the tsunami please
also remember Kecia Bertermann who will be in Sumatra with Northwest Medical
teams, and Randy Lundquist who is involved in relief efforts as well with
the US military.

Micah 7.18 "Who is a God like You, who pardons sins and forgives
transgressions?" The God of the Bible is like other gods in a lot of ways,
strong, wise, just. The startling difference is His willingness to forgive
and the extreme measures He took (dying for us) in order to be able to
forgive us. Are all gods just the same being with different names? Nope.
Only one forgives. That is the One for me.

Pastor Pete
