Here are a couple really cool music programs offered at Donn Bennett Drum
Studio in Bellevue this summer.  This is the 6th year for our Rock Band Camp
plus our brand new Hip Hop Drumming 101. These classes fill quickly so

Announcing a NEW CLASS for Summer 2007

HIP-HOP DRUMMING 101 at Donn Bennett Drum Studios

Dates: Monday July 9, 2007 thru Friday July 13, 2007

Times: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily. Monday only starts at 7:00AM.  End-of
-course concert Friday July 13, 2007 at 7:00 p.m.

Price: $400 for the week

This intensive class will be taught by experienced Donn Bennett instructors
Adam Gross and Tim Brown. HIP-HOP Drumming 101 is a tiered course that will
enrich the playing and conceptual understanding of drummers of all ages and
levels of experience. Each day, every student will participate in large and
small group lessons, record drum loops in Hip Hop styles and rehearse with a
rhythm section and MC in preparation for an end-of-course public
performance. This will be unlike any drum course you have ever taken!

Space is extremely limited -- only the first 18 students to register are
guaranteed a place! 

ROCK BAND CAMP 2007

Dates: Monday July 16th thru Friday July 20th. 

Time: 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Price: $350.00

Beginners to advanced (We'll place students in groups according to ability).

5 sessions including performance.  This is the sixth year of this extremely
popular camp. Here's your chance to play in a rock band. Players with basic
understanding of guitar, drums, bass, keyboards and vocals will learn how to
combine their talents and perform as a band. Instructors Chase Culp and Eric
Snyder cover a range of topics including rhythm section, dynamics and
soloing. Guest artists, to be announced, will teach segments on topics
including music business and recording.

  The camp is very hands on and will offer students plenty of performance
time. On the final day of the program students will perform a concert live
onstage for friends and family. Students will learn about topics including:

How to rehearse, listening, song arrangement, current and classic hits, song
composition, improvisation, performance skills and how to work with others. 

DRUM TUNING 102

Date: Mondays 

Time: 6:30 

Price: $65

This private, one-on-one class will teach you the basic steps involved in
tuning drums. Our own professional touring drum tech Dave Brozowski will
show you how to get the most out of your drum kit, snares, toms and bass
drum. A variety of topics will be covered including head choice, muffling
and realizing a desired drum sound. Students will need to bring their drum
set to the class. Students taking the tuning class receive a discount of 50%
off any new heads purchased in the store for the lesson.  At the end of the
session, your kit will not only be dialed-in, but you will go home a more
confident and knowledgeable drum tuner. 

DRUMMERS CRASH (BOOM, BANG) COURSE

Dates: First Wednesday of each month

Time: 6:00- 6:45

Price: $65

Beginners

This 4 week program taught by Donn Bennett will get you on the fast track to
playing the drums. Participants will learn to play beats and fills on the
drum set while developing fundamental drumming skills. Equal parts fun and
learning. No experience necessary. Limit, 8 participants.
