Drummers!!

We're very happy to announce the Woodstick 2007 drumming event. This will be
our 5th annual Woodstick, and if you've participated in the past you know
what a spectacular event this is. If you've never participated before I very
sincerely hope you will make plans to attend this year. We have some great
new people working with us this year that are dedicated to making this
year's event the biggest and best ever. I'll keep you updated as things
develop. Watch your email.

The official announcement is below.

I hope to see you there,

Donn Bennett

We're looking for one thousand drummers!

Woodstick 2007 is proud to announce our biggest-ever drumming event. We're
going all out and seeking one thousand drummers for our October 27, 2007
event. Please, circle the date and start making your plans to attend. Check
out the website www.woodstick2007.com <http://www.woodstick2007.com/> for
complete details.

Woodstick already owns the world record for the largest number of drummers
playing one song (533 - Guinness Book of World Records - Qwest Field Seattle
2006). We are not out to break our own record, we are out to shatter it.

The event is being held at the fabulous ShowPlex on the Puyallup Fairgrounds
in Puyallup, Washington . . . just 12 miles from the Seattle-Tacoma airport.
This is a huge building with five roll-up doors for loading and unloading
drum kits. Parking is free and close-by.

Once again we are joining up with Rotary and Donn Bennett Drum Studio.
Rotary has just about eradicated polio from the Earth and their current
efforts have turned towards hearing regeneration. The majority of our fund
raising efforts will go to hearing safety and hearing regeneration. We will
also help raise money for local homeless families, and to help purchase
percussion instruments for local schools.

A musician's most valuable instrument is their hearing. Unfortunately we
often subject our ears to extremely dangerous noise levels. Most drummers
don't talk about it, but nearly every drummer eventually suffers some
hearing loss. It's ironic, having 1,000 drummers playing drums to promote
hearing safety, but it's time for us to help solve a problem that we have
already helped create. It's estimated that three out of four members of the
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame suffer from hearing loss. In the general
population, hearing loss is a hidden disability. It's out there taking its
economic and communicative toll.

We are concerned with both hearing regeneration AND hearing protection as is
another partner: The Hard of Hearing Hall of Fame
(www.hardofhearinghalloffame.com <http://www.hardofhearinghalloffame.com/>
), which features information, videos and articles on hearing loss and
hearing loss prevention.

Worldwide, hearing loss is the number one birth defect and the disability
with the largest number of sufferers. People hate to admit they can't hear,
perhaps out of vanity. Yet around the world, being unable to hear puts you
and your family at a great disadvantage monetarily, opportunistically and
with regard to a career. This is a disadvantage that you may never be able
to overcome . . . ever.

There are several ways you can help. You can make a donation. You can
register to participate as a drummer. You can raise pledges. You can
organize a group of drummers to play. You can even sponsor a portion of the
fundraiser. And, if you're a Rotarian, you should join their activity group,
Rotarians for Hearing Regeneration (www.hearingregeneration.org
<http://www.hearingregeneration.org/> ).

Plans right now call for 10 to 12 celebrity drummers (check out our website
to see who has participated in the past). We are going to have a fantastic
raffle. You might be able to have your picture taken with Elvis or Jimi
Hendrix. There will be a house band to play along with, and plenty of
exhibits and booths bringing you percussion information as well as other
things to do at the ShowPlex.

Please, join us at Woodstick 2007. It's going to be fun. We already have
requests from Chicago and San Francisco as well as registrations from the
Seattle area. If you're interested in the Platinum Package (where we supply
up and set up a drum kit for you), please note that we have a limited supply
of drum kits (40) - First come, first served!

999 drummers and you!!! Please, sign up today.

Yours truly,

Woodstick 2007
