We are Fotos by Folletts http://www.fotosbyfolletts.com/ and are currently
working on a photography book all about drummers. The enthusiasm and support
from the drumming community and from the manufactures has been overwhelming.
Artist Relations departments from Yamaha, Pro Mark, Mapex,Innovation, along
with John Aldridge (Not so Modern Drummer magazine) and Billy Amendola
(Modern Drummer magazine) have been amazing at helping get the word out.
We have traveled to Nashville, Memphis (Jim Petit's Memphis Drum shop),
Milwaukee for 13 days at Summerfest, Detroit (where we were able to
photograph Uriel Jones and Spider Webb (the original funk brothers) at
Motown and then on to photograph the world's youngest drummer 3 year old
Julian Pavone. London with the help and hospitality of Drum Tech School and
Graham Webb was a terrific photo shoot with U.K's best.
NYC's drummers
jump on board with the help of Steve Walters from the Cutting Room and
Liberty DeVitto who handled the logistics in the Big Apple we were able to
photograph 38 drummers many who opened up their homes and studios for the
shoots.
We are now heading to LA, New Orleans, Las Vegas and back to Nashville,
Memphis, Texas, and London also attending Pasic and Namm. We have currently
photographed 140 drummers including Tris Imboden, Ron Tutt, Paul Leim, Steve
Potts, Dave McAfee, Chad Cromwell , Jack Bruno, Steve Rooney,John
Reynolds,Graham Webb and his two sons Brad and Rocco, Keith Carlock, Anton
Fig, Sam Lay, Rod Morgenstein, Lenny White, and Dom Famularo.
The book is being published to give visual inspiration and preserve the
legacies of the drumming community. The book is also diverse as it covers
child prodigies, drummers with physical challenges, and the true legends who
deserve respect and thanks for giving us their talent to enjoy, teach, and
treasure.
Please let us know if you would be available to participate in the book
project and what date and time would work so we can accomodate your
schedule. My email is kingram at tampabay.rr.com..cell is 727-434-7798 We thank
you in advance for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Jules Follett
