SUMMER MUSIC CLASSES

Drummers!!,

There's still room in most of our July summer music programs, Drummer's
Crash Course, Rock Camp, Drum Set Intensive and Drum Set Rudiment Camp.
Legendary YES and John Lennon drummer, Alan White will participate in both
the Rock Camp and Drum Set Intensive. All the information is below. Things

DRUMMERS CRASH (BOOM, BANG) COURSE

Date: Thursdays 

Time:   6:00 to 6:45

Price:  $65.00

 A class for absolute beginners. I guarantee you will be playing rock beats
and fills on the complete drumset by the time the class is over. Learn to
play together with your favorite recorded songs. This fun class will put you
on the fast track to learning to play the drums. Open to all ages. No
experience needed.

SUMMER ROCK CAMP 2008

Date: 7/07-7/12, Mon-Sat 

      Concert at Studio Seven (Seattle) Sunday July 13th(time to be
announced)

Time: 11:00am to 4:00pm

Price: $450 ($50.00 discount if you sign up with a friend)


So you wanna be a Rockstar? Here's your chance to play in a rock band!!
Players with basic understanding of the Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keyboards, and
Vocals will learn how to combine their talents and perform as a band.
Instructors Eric Snyder and Chase Culp (Point One) cover a range of topics
including rhythm section, dynamics, songwriting, soloing, music business and
rehearsal techniques. Guest artists (to be announced) will teach segments on
topics including music business, musicianship, recording, and more.

   Past guests instructors have included Peter Klett (from the
multi-platinum band Candlebox), Alan White (Yes, John Lennon), Michael
Derosier (Heart), Keith Wright (Guitarist for Point One, Brandi Carlile). 

This year Northwest Guitars is teaming up with us to bring a new dimension
to our summer rock program.   That means more guitarists, clinics, and
giveaways!

Students will also receive group and private instruction during the week on
their instrument. Each band will have a professional rehearsal room equipped
with a full PA, Amps, and Drumset.

 The camp is very hands-on. Everyone gets plenty of performance time. On the
final day of the camp all participants will perform in concert for friends
and family at Studio Seven in Seattle, one of Seattle's most popular concert
venues.

SUMMER DRUM SET RUDIMENT CAMP

Date:  Two Camps, 7/14 - 7/18 & 08/04 - 08/08

Time:  10am - 2pm

Price:  $250.00

Don't know a Paradiddle from a double stroke roll? You thought a Swiss Army
triplet was three army brats from Switzerland? Well, come get your brain and
your hands together at the first annual Summer Drum Set Rudiment Camp! This
camp is open to drummers of all levels. No matter what your level of
playing, we'll give you all the knowledge you can handle. This camp will
take your hands and your brain to the next level of speed and independence.

The program will consist of learning the standard 26 drum rudiments and
applications of the rudiments on the drum set. You will receive exercises
that you can use for the rest of your drumming carrier, both on the pad and
on the drum set.

We have some of the most knowledgeable drum instructors in the area on the
subject. You will improve your knowledge of rudiments, speed, chops, timing,
and groove at this intense summer program.

SUMMER DRUMSET INTENSIVE

Date: 7/21-25, Mon-Fri

Time: 10:00am to 4:00pm

Price: $325

  Beginners, Intermediate, and Advanced. This is the 7th year for this
extremely popular camp. Chase Culp will teach topics including Drumset
History, Basic Musicianship, Technique, Tuning, Grooves from several styles,
Playing with a rhythm section, Double bass drumming and Chart reading.
Students will also get to experience playing with a live band.   Several
guest instructors (to be announced) will teach portions of the program.
Previous guest instructors have included Kenny Aronoff, Billy Ward, Alan
White, Michael Shrieve, Davis Martin, Kenny MacDougal, Wade Reeves, and
Michael Derosier.

Must have minimum drum set skills.

MASTER CLASSES/ CLINICS  

STEVE WILKES

Private Lessons, July 15-16-17, $70.00 per hour

 Steve is a professor and full time faculty member of the percussion
department at Berklee College of Music. Bruce is an extremely accomplished
drummer having played all around the world. Any drummer interested in
pursuing music as a career could benefit tremendously from study with Steve.
He will be in the studio for 3 consecutive days. For more about Steve see
