Drum Shop Store Manager
Job Duties 
. Manage the day to day operation of the music shop including opening and closing facility, handling over the counter, phone, email and mail order sales, stocking and displays, daily cash reconciliation, shipping and receiving of merchandise, reordering of inventory as needed. 
. Operate computerized POS cash register system (QuickBooks) to price products, record sales, produce sales reports, take inventory and restock merchandise as required. 
. Train and supervise part time staff in customer service, recording sales, daily cash reconciliation, phones and information, filling mail orders and stocking inventory. 
. Maintain adequate cash on hand; make bank deposits daily or as needed. 
. Maintain clean and organized facility including inventory area. 
. Other duties as assigned. 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 
. Excellent customer service skills required. Must enjoy working in a music store environment.
. Must possess mature judgment, excellent business, interpersonal, verbal and written communication and organizational skills. 
. Must have working and applied knowledge of retail basics: computerized inventory system, buying, merchandising, inventory management and control, shrinkage, accounts payable and receivable, cash management. 
. Knowledge of other business procedures including telephone and email communications, office systems and record keeping. 
. Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision. 
. Well organized, detail oriented, flexible, dependable
2+ years management experience and ability to teach drumming  preferred.

Individual must be friendly, neat, efficient and a motivated self-starter who works well independently and with others. Must be able to work weekends (Saturdays). Minimum 2 years in retail required. Customer service experience a must; supervisor/store manager responsibility preferred.
