Friends -

We wanted to let you know that we are in the process of making this year's
tournament one to remember! 

Make sure you mark off    Monday, September 22nd on your calendars for a fun
day of golf with friends & family and an evening of great food and
celebration.  Once again, we have reunited with beautiful Glendale Golf and
Country Club (which is in the heart of Bellevue and only a 10 min drive from
Mercer Island!!)

We are extremely pleased to be honoring Father John Bowman, our pastor of 12
years, as our honorary chairman.  In addition to a great day of golf, there
is also another event that we will be celebrating - Father Bowman's official
retirement as pastor!  Cake, champagne and a few words from parishioners
will make this evening a very memorable event!

If you are a golfer, signing up for this year's tournament should be a
given.    However, if you do not golf and would like to help us honor Father
Bowman, then we would encourage you to sign up for the dinner and meet us in
the dining room at Glendale CC.

We also wanted to let you know that we will be sending out a
survey/questionnaire (from the St. Monica School e-mail distribution list)
to find out what you like best and areas that we could improve the
tournament.  Thank you in advance for your valued responses!

The last items that we want you to think about are sponsorship and volunteer
opportunities.  If your business or a friend's business has an interest in
being a title sponsor for the tournament, please contact Chris Vacca
(425.829.3079) directly.  

If you have an interest in volunteering for the tournament, please let us
know where your expertise lies.  We will definitely need volunteers the day
of the tournament, but we will also need people to help solicit prizes,
sponsorship dollars and helping on various other committees (i.e. food &
beverage, coordination of the events of the day and evening, etc. . .....)

In looking back at past years volunteers and sponsors, we want to truly
thank those of you that have been so generous and supportive of this effort!
We hope the trend continues this year and for years to come.  You all are
making a difference and providing for the future of the school!!

We are very excited about this year's tournament and hope to see you all
there!
